Turtle Boy (亀太郎, Kametarō) is one of the kissable Underground Residents located in Long Life Town.

His home hole is found in Leo's Tea Room area, all the way to the left by the water pump.

Profile and Appearance[]

Turtle Boy is a green land turtle with a hardhat strapped to his back. The hardhat's design is that of a Japanese construction worker's: yellow in color with green strips and plus sign.

Peering into his home while he is inside will pan down to reveal a metal ladder, orange traffic cones, cement blocks, fence barriers, wood beams and other common construction equipment decorating the area.

His profile reads as such:

1-5 Long Life Town
Turtle Boy's life...
Age 23
Hobby: Figure Drawing
The saying of the day is...
I love to draw the town night's view.
Neon signs, show windows,
and those lights at construction sites.
But I love to draw people more...
My hobby is figure drawing.

How to Kiss[]

At 9:00PM, Turtle Boy will come out his home and stand in place. Poor Boy cannot get him to Viva as is. He'll stay stressed until one condition is met. Without it, he'll leave at 10:30PM.

Behavior and Viva Conditions[]

Turtle Boy will not move from the spot he rises from. He'll only react to Poor Boy if he is in his underwear. The only way for Poor Boy to undress is by accessing Leo's Bathhouse during opening hours. After paying to take a bath, Poor Boy must go behind the modesty screen and undress. From there, he will have to sneak past Leo to get out of the bathhouse. When Turtle Boy appears inside Leo's Tea Room and sees that Poor Boy is naked, he will start to blink bright red like a flashing bulb. When he stops, there's a 1-in-5 chance he will Viva.

Trivia[]

  • The English text for Turtle Boy's hobby and "saying of the day" had altered the context from the original Japanese text. Not only was it more brief, but Turtle Boy's original text had nothing to do with drawing. The localization seems to have intentionally censored the perverse nature of Turtle Boy.
    • His hobby in the original text is "ヌード鑑賞" or "nūdo kanshō", meaning "Nude Aficionado".
    • The original text for his "saying of the day" is as follows: "夜の町にともる明かりが好き/でも、もっと好きなのは/裸のつきあい". The translation being, "I love the lights that illuminate the city night, but more than that, I love when people expose themselves...".
    • This behavior is joked with further in the official guidebook as these points are listed under "Notes of Observation" for Turtle Boy: "Loves peeping. Complete pervert. Whether boy or girl, anyone nude is A-OK!"
  • Turtle Boy is the only Underground Resident to make an appearance during the end credits. He appears to be fighting with the crane that lives above the bathhouse.
    • The turtle and crane are token animals for Long Life Town. Aside from the fountain statue which features them both, such notion is also found in the Japanese name itself, "鶴亀町" or "Tsurukame-chō". The first kanji "Tsuru" stands for "crane" and the second kanji "Kame" stands for "turtle". For Eastern Asian culture in general, the turtle and crane symbolize longevity. Hence the English name, "Long Life Town".
