Dr. FIll (沢松博士 Sawamatsu Hakase, "Dr. Sawamatsu") is one of the kissable Underground Residents located in Long Life Town, District 1.
His home hole is found by the prohibitory sign near Turtle Bath.
Profile and Appearance[]
Dr. Fill is a short man who wears a dark blue suit adorned with gold buttons and a big red bowtie. On his feet are one of his own inventions: blue and purple shoes with large springs attached to the bottom.
Peering into the hole while Dr. Fill is home will pan down to reveal a room cluttered with several colorful books and machine parts, as well as incomplete versions of his shoe invention. He has two metallic tables, one with three books and another with more parts on top and a blueprint underneath. His walls are filled with blueprints of his ideas and one self-portrait.
His profile reads as follows:
- "1-3 Long Life Town
- Dr. Fill’s life…
- Age 52
- Hobby: Inventing
- The saying of the day is…
- Invention is… a gleam…
- It’s coming to me… almost…

After Mrs. Plum's dentures are stolen, his profile will change:
- "1-3 Long Life Town
- Dr. Fill’s life…
- Age 52
- Hobby: Inventing
- The saying of the day is…
- Tadaaa
- Invention Number 101
- 'Super Labor'
- One patent
- Big invention
- Ground breaking"
How to Kiss[]
At 12:00AM, Dr. Fill will come out and walk past the prohibitory sign to lean on the light pole. He will stand here until he leaves at 1:30AM.
Behavior and Viva Conditions[]
Dr. Fill will reject Poor Boy's kiss until the quest concerning Mrs. Plum is initiated. When Poor Boy asks his father about local newspaper stories, there will eventually be a story on both Mrs. Plum and Dr. Fill. Poor Boy can then meet with Mrs. Plum and then later find Dr. Fill at night with his invention completed. After a successful jump, he will be ready to kiss.
Trivia[]
- Dr. Fill is one of the few Underground Residents whose "saying of the day" will change, reflecting how his kiss pertains to Poor Boy triggering an event rather than being able to kiss him whenever the opportunity arises. One of the other residents whose saying changes is Thief Tip Toe IV.
- Dr. Fill, or "Dr. Sawamatsu" is a veiled reference to the real-world Dr. Nakamatsu, also known as "Dr. NakaMats", an eccentric Tōkyō inventor. Additionally, the spring-shoes worn by Dr. Fill are based on the "PyonPyon Flying Shoes" (ピョンピョン フライングシューズ), arguably Dr. Nakamatsu's most successful invention.
